Store front functions

The store functions are available on page your-domain-name/index.php?route=extension/module/gdpr 

For default theme we have created ocmod which will add link to the footer. If you want to add the link to some other page please contact our support.

If you are using any template other than default theme and if you do not get the link in the footer, please contact our support for the theme customiztion. 

For journal2 theme you can add the link from your journal2 admin control panel. You can delete the ocmod modification as well.

The store front will look like this for the default theme as shown in the above screenshot.


Data Rectification

It consists of profile edit links as same as in the my account page. Customer need to login in order to use these option


Data Portability

It consists of links that can be used only a logged in customers. Upon clicking on each links, it will download the respective information in csv file format.


Access to Personal Data

When customer clicks on Request Personal Data Report, it will ask for the email address. When user provides the email address, a confirmation email with the link to personal data report is sent to the mentioned email address. User will be able to see the personal data stored in your website upon clicking on the access link. 

Note: There are request limitation / restriction

  1. User cannot request more than 4 times in an hour. 
  2. The access link sent on email is valid only for 6 hours

Personal Data Report View Page

This page is accessed only via access link sent via email. This page uses its own css or styles from cloud (default bootstrap template) . Only content top and content bottom layout postions are available. Therefore if you want to add modules, you can add only to these positions.


Request to be forgotten

When customer clicks on Request to delete personal data link, it will ask for the email address. When user provides the email address, a confirmation email with the link to delete account is sent to the mentioned email address. There is no admin approval required for deletion. 

When an account is deleted, it is deleted forever. However order details will remain in database.

Each request by customer is logged in database. The admin of the site can view them under GDPR Request Tab
