• This extension requires the base plugin developed by HuntBee OpenCart Services.
• No file overwritten.

Step 1

1. Install the base plugin https://www.huntbee.com/resources/docs/base-plugin-for-huntbee-extensions/installation/. If already installed, you can skip this step.

Step 2

1. Login to your website admin
2. Navigate to Extensions > Installer
3. Upload xml-sitemap-pro-x.x.x.ocmod.zip
4. Navigate to SEO Extensions > All Apps
5. Click the install button on SEO XML Sitemap Generator PRO
6. Click on the edit button
7. Set up the extension and click on Save.
8. You are done, Test XML sitemap links

What Happens Automatically on Install

When you install the extension, it automatically:

• Creates three database tables: oc_sitemap_links, oc_hb_indexnow_queue, oc_hb_indexnow_logs
• Registers OpenCart event hooks for products, categories, brands, and information pages (for IndexNow auto-queueing)
• Attempts to add .htaccess rewrite rules so your sitemaps are immediately accessible at clean URLs

Post-Install Checklist

• Go to Extensions → Modifications → click Refresh
• Clear the OpenCart theme cache (Dashboard → Settings → Developer → Theme → Refresh)
• Open the extension settings and verify the .htaccess status shows rules detected
• Visit your sitemap index URL in a browser to confirm it loads

⚠️ Important: Always refresh Modifications after any installation or upgrade, then clear the theme cache.
