The extension provides two methods<\/strong> to determine when a product should display the Notify Me<\/strong> button. You can use only one method at a time<\/strong>, depending on how you manage stock in your store.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Method 1: Validation Based on Product Quantity<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In this method, the extension checks the product quantity<\/strong> to determine whether the product is out of stock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If the product quantity is less than the defined threshold (usually 1)<\/strong>, the product is considered unavailable, and the Notify Me<\/strong> option can be displayed to customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This method includes two levels of validation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Level 1 \u2013 Product Quantity (Required)<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The primary check is based on product quantity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When the product quantity reaches zero or goes below the defined value, the extension considers the product as unavailable and enables the stock alert option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Level 2 \u2013 Product \u201cOut-of-Stock Status\u201d (Optional)<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

You can optionally restrict the Notify Me button based on the product\u2019s Out-of-Stock Status<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is useful when you want the notify option to appear only for specific availability conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you do not want to apply this additional filter, simply choose Ignore this rule<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Understanding Out-of-Stock Status in OpenCart<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Some store owners confuse the Out-of-Stock Status<\/strong> field in the product edit page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This field does not control inventory. It only controls what message customers see on the product page when quantity becomes zero<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
