The Broken Links<\/strong> tab is designed to give you a complete overview of the links that have been either captured by the system or manually added by the admin. This tab also displays the Page Redirect Links<\/strong> (working link redirects) set by the admin in the Page Redirects<\/strong> tab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Key Information Displayed:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n
    \n
  • Broken Links<\/strong>: Lists all broken or non-working links detected on your website.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Redirect Link<\/strong>: Displays the URL where the broken link is being redirected, either automatically set by the system or manually entered by the admin.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Redirect Status Code<\/strong>: Shows the type of redirect (301 for permanent, 302 or 307 for temporary).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Hit Count<\/strong>: The number of times a user has hit (accessed) the broken link.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Redirect Count<\/strong>: The number of times the broken link has been successfully redirected.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Referrer Details<\/strong>: Information about how the user arrived at the broken link, including:\n
      \n
    • Referrer URL (where the user came from)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • User Agent (the browser or bot used)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • IP Address (the IP of the user or bot)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Date & Time (when the hit occurred)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • First and Last Hit<\/strong>: The date and time of each broken link’s first and most recent hits.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      Setting Redirect Links:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

      In this tab, you can manually set redirect links for broken URLs:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        \n
      • Enter the redirect URL directly into the field provided.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • The extension will auto-save<\/strong> the redirect URL as soon as it is entered. There is no need to click the main Save<\/strong> button to save the redirection settings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        This feature ensures that any broken links are promptly addressed, preventing 404 errors and improving the user experience by ensuring visitors are redirected to relevant, working pages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Manually Adding Links:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

        To add new redirects for working links, follow these steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          \n
        1. Click the\u00a0ADD Links<\/strong>\u00a0button at the top of the page. This will open a form.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        2. In the form, you will need to provide:\n
            \n
          • Broken Link \/ Working URL<\/strong>: The original URL that needs to be redirected.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • Redirect URL<\/strong>: The destination URL where you want the working link to redirect.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • Redirect Response Code<\/strong>: Select the response code (e.g., 301 for permanent, 302 for temporary).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
