AI Product Feed
Publish a controlled machine-readable product catalog and understand its cache, snapshot and AI-discovery limitations.
Publish a cached machine-readable product feed and optional merchant-style CSV.GZ snapshot for supported external workflows.
What is the AI Product Feed?
It exposes selected product information in machine-readable form. This can make your catalog easier to consume by systems that support your feed format. It does not automatically register your store with an AI company or merchant program.
Settings
| Setting | What it means | Recommended for beginners | Change it when… |
|---|---|---|---|
| Status | Turns the public feed on/off. Default off. | Leave off until you have decided you want a public machine-readable catalog endpoint. | You have a defined integration/discovery use case. |
| Products per Page | Page size for feed responses. Default 100; allowed 10–500. | Keep 100. | A consumer/server performance test needs a different page size. |
| File Cache | Caches feed output for efficiency. Default on. | Keep enabled. | Temporary debugging. |
| Cache TTL | How long cached output can live. Default 3600 seconds; allowed 60–86400. | Keep 3600. | Catalog freshness/performance requirements justify a different value. |
| Merchant CSV.GZ Snapshot | Optional compressed merchant-style export for workflows that actually accept it. | Generate only when you have a real destination/onboarding requirement. | A supported merchant/feed program asks you to supply it. |
| Auto Refresh Snapshot | Automatically refreshes an already-generated snapshot. Default off. | Leave off until you use the snapshot. | A real feed consumer needs a regularly refreshed file. |
| Cron Refresh Job | Refresh task default off, every 5 minutes, batch 200 when enabled. | Leave off unless feed refresh automation is required. | You have enabled/used the feed and need scheduled freshness. |
What changes invalidate the feed?
The SEO Suite can react to relevant product/quantity/SEO changes and invalidate only the affected enabled store scope. This helps avoid serving stale product facts while keeping runtime work controlled.
Privacy and catalog scope
Treat the public endpoint like any other public product feed: review the fields it exposes and enable it only when the information is suitable for public consumption.
