The extension uses the single-item or multiple-item template depending on how many shipment rows are included in the email for that action.
When to use simple layout generation
Use the simple layout generator when you want a fast, clean email starting point. It is useful when you need a professional template but do not want to hand-code the full email body.
When to edit the HTML manually
Edit the email content manually when you need precise control over spacing, custom sections, branding, or shortcode placement.
Order history and SMS behavior
The extension can add a shipment comment to order history after saving shipment data. It can also prepare and optionally send SMS content when the related SMS integration is available.
Example: some stores use email only for public customer communication but still keep the shipment history comment active for internal audit and order review.
