Profit & Analytics
Combine OpenCart sales with product cost to see what products and orders actually earn.
Product-cost, gross-profit and margin reporting with historical cost capture, cost coverage, data-quality checks and controlled recosting.
How it works
OpenCart records selling prices and order totals but does not store historical product cost. Profit & Analytics adds dated product-cost history and captures the cost that applies to each order line.
Reporting
- Overview — known gross profit, gross margin, revenue, COGS, cost coverage and trends.
- Product Profitability — most profitable, lowest margin, loss-making, high-revenue/low-margin, missing-cost and decline views.
- Order Profitability — profit and cost coverage per order with a calculation breakdown.
- Data Quality — missing, fallback, stale, orphan and zero-cost checks, currency warnings and capture progress.
Cost Management
Enter costs manually, import CSV files, export cost history or apply previewed bulk adjustments. Costs are store-aware. Default-store cost fallback is blocked when base currencies differ.
Capture and Recost
Capture past orders creates profit data for orders that have not been analysed. It does not overwrite an already captured cost. Recost intentionally re-resolves historical costs after corrections and can change historical profit figures, so it requires a preview before it starts.
Reporting safeguards
Incomplete cost data is shown as coverage rather than silently treated as zero. Different store currencies are reported separately. Collected tax is shown separately and is not counted as revenue or profit.
