Keep the Framework current before installing newer Suite packages and use Repair when operational setup needs to be restored.
Safe update order
1. Back up your store as part of normal maintenance
2. Update OpenCart if that is part of your planned upgrade
3. Update HuntBee Framework when offered
4. Update SEO Suite
5. Test storefront + admin + SEO Health
What a normal Suite update does
The Framework discovers the Suite components and runs setup only where required for missing or newer component versions. It also refreshes permissions/caches and records the resulting state.
What is Repair?
Repair is like asking HuntBee to check and restore its operational setup. It can recreate missing schema safely, synchronize HuntBee-owned events and refresh component setup while preserving customer settings and business data.
Repair is technical maintenanceUse Repair for a damaged or incomplete HuntBee setup. Do not use it as a random “SEO reset” button; it does not improve rankings or replace store backups.
Before a major OpenCart upgrade
- Take a database and file backup.
- Read the OpenCart release notes and HuntBee compatibility information.
- Prefer a staging/test copy for a major upgrade.
- Update OpenCart and required dependencies.
- Update the HuntBee Framework and Suite to versions intended for the newer OpenCart release.
- Test checkout, products, categories, URLs, theme output and SEO Health before treating the upgrade as complete.
